6 Easy Ways to Self-Care

I decided to share with you some of my favorite things I personally do at home to help take care of myself especially now during these challening and stressful times. Decrease stress and strengthen your immune system with these 6 simple things you might already be doing every day. 



1. Gratitude 


 Through mindfulness we heightened our frequency. The higher your frequency through mindfulness and meditation you help strengthen your immune system and rewire your brain. Take a walk pay attention to your surroundings, stop and smell the flowers literally. (Spring is in the air) Connect with your fur baby if you have one or two or three lol Sorry I cant get enough of my babies.  Appreciate the little things in life and be optimistic. You can also find some awesome videos on you-tube to help increase your frequency and regerate your energy gauge.

**My favorite mindfulness app is called Gaia ( Download on your app store) 



2. Hydrate 

Staying hydrated on a regular basis, is super important especially during the

flu season. Strengthen your immune system by drinking plenty of water to keep infection at bay. Drinking water helps your body naturally eliminate toxins and other bacteria that may cause possible illness. For added support I love adding my favorite electrolyte Nuun tablets. Electrolytes are vital micro minerals and play vital roles to aid in our cell functions, nervous system functions and immune system. 


3. Infrared Sauna 

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE spending regular time in my infrared sauna!!! Infrared saunas have proven to help boost the immune system. Infrared saunas raise core body temperature, helping the body draw out toxins, while decreasing blood pressure and reducing stress. Some of my clients have reported that using an infrared sauna has helped them achieve a better night sleep and boosting their mood. 


4. Bath time!!!!

My bath time is my second favorite thing after being in the sauna. My bath time consists of Epsom salt (1 Cup of Dr. Teals Epsom Salt) Dr. Teals bath soap (2 cap fulls) and a few of my favorite crystals such as amythest and rose quartz to help re-energize and show my temple some TLC and a good book. Which brings me to my next favorite thing!! 


5. Read a good book

With so many apps available not having a chance to read a good book is now in the past. I now download my books on Audible. I listen to my books on my way to work, on my way to the store or on my bath time/ sauna time. I still purchase the physical book so I can highlight important facts or statements so I can refer back to them. I have recently read and highly recommend these awesome reads:

6. Last, but not least FASCIABLAST!!!

I am a huge advocate for Fasciablasting. My medical massage practice is all based on Fasciablasting and educating my clients on how to self-care at home with these amazing tools.  Fasciablasting helps increase blood flow through the

brushing of the Fasciablaster tools in a up and down motion with the lubricant of your choice. If you are like me and you enjoy Fasciablasting in the shower or your bath you can use Ashley's Blaster oil/ or just use your favorite shower gel of your choice. Stay away from baby oil and self warming oils and lotions as these can irritate the skin. Studies have shown that Fasciablasting diminishes the look of cellulite but it also rebuilds our soft tissue (Fascia) increasing the production of Collagen (Naturally). WOW!!! Amazing isnt it. So yes that means it works very nicely on scar tissue ( If you have a scar or have limited range of motion on a particular extremity grab a Fasciablaster and watch the magic happen!)
